Wine enthusiasts, wine connoisseurs, or beginners developing a newfound love for wine. People who want to celebrate in style. Anyone who enjoys the finer things in life. Our trips are luxurious escapes that combine great wine, gourmet and regional cuisine, and culture.

They are for people who are interested in learning about wine and who are passionate about travel. An Into the Vineyard trip will immerse you in the region’s culture. Each trip includes multiple opportunities to engage with captivating locals while you soak up their way of life. Visit the major tourist areas or avoid them completely. It’s up to you.

Do you offer private custom trips or scheduled group tours?

Both!

Are you looking for a customized trip or would you rather join a scheduled tour? Either way, we can help. Customized Trips: We can start with one of our “Personal” trip itineraries or work with you to create something entirely new. Whether you’re traveling to a wine region by yourself, with your significant other, a group of friends, or organizing a large corporate event, we can help.

Scheduled Group Tours: We’ve created a number of special group itineraries guided by special guests (wine makers, sommeliers, or other wine industry experts) or centered around marquee events in the wine world. These trips will give you special access that you won’t be able to find elsewhere.

Or, maybe our trips aren’t perfect for you. In that case, we’ll find a trip that is. We work with all of the best travel suppliers around the world, so we guarantee we can find the perfect trip for you.

Can Into the Vineyard’s tours be customized?

Absolutely!

Our expertise is designing an experience around what you want, so all of our Private Trips are completely customizable and our Scheduled Group Tours include options.

Everyone has differing interests and particular passions. Some love wine — and just that. Others want to explore the diverse offerings of the region. There are others who want to add some physical activity to their itinerary.

With the range of possibilities we provide, we ensure a trip that will suit your individual style.

What’s included in the trip?

Everything you would expect from a luxury travel experience.

Customized Trips: The included options are unlimited on a Customized Trip, so what we include will depend on your preferences. We can arrange your trip so you don’t open your wallet once for the duration or we can include sections that you add during your trip depending on how you feel that day.

Scheduled Group Tours: Our trips are crafted to include the best of the region. Though this may vary slightly from trip to trip, you can expect that if an item applies to every member of the group, it will be included. There may be additional options offered that are not part of the trip price, or the occasional evening when you spend dinner on your own (with some restaurant recommendations of course), but we will be very clear about what is included.

Are flights included in the cost of the tour?

Flights are not included in the cost of tours.

As a licensed travel agency, our in-house experts are more than happy to coordinate your air travel arrangements for you.

What is the pace of your tours?

Custom Trips: We’ll make sure the pace matches what you are looking for. Our planning process will seek out your preferences for start times, activity levels, and the focus of your trip. We can arrange for you to focus on the wine tastings specifically, or help you branch out into other areas of interest. We have options for your trip if you would like to explore the vineyard by bike, others that are more leisurely. With a custom trip it’s up to you to decide.

Scheduled Tours: Many of our trips have an easy going flow with an option to incorporate some activity. Other trips may have an active focus throughout the trip. If you have any questions, please contact us and we’ll make sure to match you with the appropriate trip and accommodate your requests.

How much does a trip cost?

This depends on a variety of factors. We craft the best trips in each region, and as such, there are a number of elements that contribute to the trip’s price. Most of the trips on our site are between $600 to $1,200 per person per day. Our custom trips are designed to suit your expectations, so the price will depend on your wishes.

What is the booking procedure?

Custom Trips: We have an initial consultation to discuss what you envision. After meeting, we request a trip development fee to initiate the extensive research necessary to deliver you a customized proposal. Once you are satisfied with customized proposal, we send you a booking form and request a deposit.

Scheduled Tours: We send you a booking form which requests all your necessary information. We then take a deposit to confirm your reservation. Please see the terms of deposit below.

What is a trip development fee?

A trip development fee initiates the process to develop a customized trip. We have invested a significant amount in finding and building business relations around the globe. This proprietary information is what sets us apart from the competition and covers our costs while we undertake extensive research to build your custom trip proposal.

The trip development fee equates to $250 per trip and is non-refundable.

How much is the deposit?

Custom Trips: We require 25 to 50% of the trip price at the time that the custom proposal is accepted and you wish to proceed with the booking. The remainder is due 90 days prior to the trip departure date, unless special deposit terms are required by the on-site vendor and agreed to by the client in writing.

Scheduled Group Tours: A deposit of 30% of the trip price is due at booking. The remainder of the payment is due 90 days prior to the trip departure date.

Trusted Supplier Bookings: The deposit amount and final payment date are set by the Trusted Supplier and will vary depending on which Trusted Supplier we are using. We will inform you of the specifics for your trip during the booking process.

What are your Cancellation Terms?

Custom Trips and Group Tours:While the following is the standard Into the Vineyard Cancellation Policy, from time to time our suppliers may have more strict policies. In these instances, you will be notified of the differences in writing at the time of booking.

The terms and conditions for each trip will be clearly stated on your itinerary.
50% deposit at time of Booking which is non-refundable

Final Payment due 90 days prior to departure which is non-refundable

Trusted Supplier Bookings: The Cancellation Policies are set by the Trusted Supplier and will vary depending on which Trusted Supplier we are using. We will inform you of the specifics for your trip during the booking process.

Trip Planning Fees are 100% non-refundable.

Into the Vineyard strongly encourages the purchase of Cancellation Insurance to guard against losses due to insurable circumstances. Please see Question 15

Is there a supplement if I prefer to travel on my own?

The trip prices are based on double occupancy. There is an additional cost to travel solo primarily due to hotel costs. The additional costs will vary depending on the trip. Please contact us for specifics.

Is my payment safe?

100%. Into the Vineyard is one of Canada’s premier travel agencies. As a fully bonded travel agency, we are licensed and accredited by Consumer Protection BC and IATA.

What insurance do I need?

Comprehensive travel insurance is an important part of being protected in case of an unforeseen event and Into the Vineyard strongly encourages you to ensure you are covered for Cancellation, Interruption and Medical Services while traveling.

All travel quotations will offer a link to John Hancock travel insurance, the leading travel insurance provider. Travelers who are covered elsewhere and are not purchasing travel insurance through Into the Vineyard will be required to sign a waiver.

What documents do I need to bring?

Please bring all documentation provided by Into the Vineyard, including (but not limited to) airline e-tickets, hotel vouchers, cruise documents and/or insurance information.

Your passport and the appropriate visa are essential. Please contact us if you have any questions about visas.
